OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 11, 2014 - Oklahoma City Thunder forward Mitch McGary scored 16 points alongside eight rebounds in 30 minutes but the Oklahoma City Blue fell to the Texas Legends, 106-101, on Thursday at the COX Convention Center.

Semaj Christon tallied 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists and Talib Zanna recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Richard Solomon scored 11 points to go with five rebounds and Michael Jenkins added 12 points.

"I thought for three quarters we really played our brand of basketball," said Blue Head Coach Mark Daigneault. "We took a step forward in the things we've been investing in. Then in the fourth quarter we got away from those thing collectively. At the end of the day, we have to utilize every opportunity to improve. This is an opportunity to learn, grow and get better. That's what we'll use it as."

The Blue trailed 37-26 midway through the second quarter before going on a 15-2 run to take a 41-38 lead. Oklahoma City outscored Texas 32-17 in the frame to take a 51-44 lead into halftime. The Blue opened the second half with a 15-2 run to cap off an 11-minute stretch in which it outscored Texas 41-9.

Oklahoma City entered the final quarter with an 84-70 lead but the Legends put together a 12-0 run to pull within two with 4:39 on the clock. The Blue extended its lead to seven but Texas responded again with a 12-2 run capped by a three-pointer from Damion James to go up 102-99 with 42.5 seconds remaining.

Christon sunk a pair of foul shots on the other end to bring the Blue back to within one but Texas hung on in the final seconds.

The Blue (4-6) outrebounded the Legends 46-34 as five OKC players grabbed five or more boards.

Texas (7-4) was led by Damion James with 31 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Oklahoma City begins a three-game road trip on Sunday afternoon when it faces the Austin Spurs. The Blue then heads to California to take on the Santa Cruz Warriors on Dec. 17 and the Bakersfield Jam on Dec. 20. For more information, visit OklahomaCityBlue.com.
