
Blue Falls to Ignite in Back-And-Forth Game

ORLANDO - The Oklahoma City Blue (1-1) fell to the NBA G League Ignite (2-0), 109-103, on Friday afternoon.
The G League Ignite started the game with a 7-0 run, but Oklahoma City quickly closed the gap scoring the next nine points to jump ahead. Both teams then traded baskets to finish the quarter tied at 20. In a game with 18 ties and 18 lead changes, the Blue went on a 11-2 run to go up nine in the third, the largest lead of the game. The Ignite responded with a run of its own, retaking the lead with 8:55 remaining in the fourth. The Ignite outscored the Blue 13-7 to close the game and take the win.
Thunder two-way player Moses Brown scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds to go along with a game-best four blocks. Thunder assignment player Aleksej Pokuà ¡evski grabbed a team-high nine rebounds to go along with six points, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
"I think all of these experiences are good for our team, good for our players, just to understand that every day is a new challenge," Head Coach Grant Gibbs said. "The games are always going to be a little different, and you have to adapt to what's going on, what's being given to you and where you can look to execute to win the game."
Four Oklahoma City players scored in double figures as Chasson Randle led the Blue with 22 points, three rebounds and two assists. Thunder assignment player Ty Jerome contributed 11 points, a team-high-tying five assists and three rebounds.
Antonius Cleveland shot 6-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from deep en route to a 14-point game, tacking on four rebounds and three steals.
The Ignite's Jonathan Kuminga led all scorers with 24 points on 7-of-15 shooting, six rebounds and four assists.
The Blue will return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 14, facing off against the Canton Charge at 6 p.m. CT inside AdventHealth Arena.
