WALDORF, Md. - The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs shutout the Lancaster Barnstormers 6-0 tonight at Regency Furniture Stadium as six different Blue Crabs pitchers spread out seven hits through nine innings without surrendering a tally, while striking out 13. Relief pitcher Kyle Zaleski was credited with his third win of the season as starting pitcher Logan Williamson did not earn a decision, but managed seven strikeouts in just four innings. Southern Maryland would also collect runs in four different innings in their 25th win of the season.

After two innings of no-run ball, Lancaster starting pitcher Alan Johnson would load the bases with one out in the bottom of the third with Blue Crabs designated hitter Ryan Mulhern coming up to bat. Mulhern would single to center field to score two runs and outfielder Cyle Hankerd would follow behind with a single of his own to center field to increase the Blue Crabs lead to 3-0. Just an inning later catcher Alvin Colina would lead-off the fourth with a triple on the first pitch of the inning and outfielder Sean Smith would bring him home with a single to left field and a 4-0 score. In the fifth Cyle Hankerd struck again with a solo blast for his third home run in four games and his 13th of the season, but that wouldn't be all for the offense as the Blue Crabs would score once more in the seventh before calling it a night with a 6-0 final to tie the three-game series at one win apiece heading into Thursday.

UP NEXT - The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs will wrap-up the three-game series against the Lancaster Barnstormers Thursday at 7:05 p.m. at Regency Furniture Stadium. Thursday's game features our "Wings and Beer Thursday" as well as our "Girls Night Out" promotion with complimentary appetizers and drinks. The Blue Crabs will then start the second part of a six-game homestand Friday as they face the York Revolution for three games.
