
Skeeters Win a Wild One, 5-4

Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
The Sugar Land Skeeters beat the Camden Riversharks 5-4 on Tuesday night. The offense started early for Sugar Land, as they pushed across two runs in the first inning. The first run came in on an RBI double from one of the newest Skeeters, Jeff Dominguez, and an RBI single from Koby Clemens made it 2-0. Camden scored in the second inning on a Delwyn Young solo homerun to make it 2-1. Aaron Bates extended the Sugar Land lead to 3-1 in the third inning with his first of his two RBIs singles. After the Riversharks tied the game 4-4 in the seventh, Sugar Land once again called on Aaron Bates to play hero and he came through with his second RBI of the game, setting up Jason Bergmann to record his 15th save of the year. Bergmann now is tied for the league lead in saves.
Up Next: The Skeeters are sending out LHP Gilbert De La Vara (0-0, 3.85 ERA) to oppose Riversharks RHP Brian Bass (2-7, 5.43 ERA) for game three of this six-game series. Wednesday is Recycling Day at Constellation Field.
