Blue Coats Clinch Playoff Berth, Take Down Charge

WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats (19-9), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, beat the Cleveland Charge (6-22), 116-101 on Friday night at Chase Fieldhouse. The Blue Coats clinched a playoff spot with the win.

Two-way contract player Myles Powell led Delaware with 26 points (10-20 FG, 3-7 3FG) and 7 rebounds. Charles Bassey, on assignment from the 76ers, posted a double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks.

Jared Brownridge dropped 16 points and 4 rebounds for the Blue Coats, including shooting 4-8 from downtown. Delaware's Shaquille Harrison added 13 points, 7 assists, and 4 steals.

The Blue Coats held a 59-44 lead at the half, and never trailed after the break. 101 points is the lowest total allowed by the Blue Coats since February 17th when they held Windy City to 96 points.

Cameron Young dropped 29 points (12-21 FG, 2-6 3FG, 1-2 FT) in 41 minutes to lead the Charge. Tacko Fall notched a double-double with 20 points, and 13 rebounds for Cleveland.
