Greensboro Wins Second Straight, Defeats Knicks

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - Guard James Bouknight had a team-high 22 points on 7-for-13 shooting to triumphantly lead the Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, past the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks affiliate) 112-100 on Friday at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Bouknight, on assignment from the Hornets, finished his well-rounded effort with 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals in 33 minutes of action.

The visitors held the lead at half, 56-52, but the second half was all Greensboro (8-21). The Swarm outscored the Knicks by 16-points in the final 24 minutes of the game behind 57 percent shooting from the field. Kai Jones, also on assignment, was flawless by scoring 13 of his 17 points in the second half. Overall, Jones was a 8-of-8 from the field and earned his 12th double-double of the season by grabbing 11 rebounds.

Three other Swarm players joined Bouknight and Jones as double-digit scorers. Jalen Crutcher scored 19 points off the bench, Arnoldas Kulboka hit four 3-pointers on his way to 18 and Cameron McGriff added 10 in 22 minutes.

For the Knicks (14-14), Louis King had a game-high 28 points on 23 attempts. Feron Hunt had 16 while Tra Holder (12) and Dewan Hernandez (11) were the other starters in double figures. Allen Crabbe had 10 of the Westchester 24 bench points as well.

Greensboro goes for three straight on Saturday with a 7:00 p.m. ET tip against the Long Island Nets (Brooklyn Nets affiliate). The Swarm complete their home schedule next week with two home games against the Maine Celtics (Boston Celtics affiliate) on March 29 and 31.

The regular season concludes on the road, at Raptors 905 (Toronto Raptors affiliate), on April 2.
