WINNIPEG, MB â The following is a list of Blue Bombers achievements from their game against the Ottawa Renegades, July 16, 2004:
DAVE RITCHIE â 7TH PLACE CFL ALL-TIME WINS
Dave Ritchie won his 108th career regular-season game Friday to break the tie he held with Bob O'Billovich for 7th place in CFL career wins. Ritchie now has 108 wins and counting.
RICKY BELL â 25TH WBB GAME
Defensive back Ricky Bell has been an outstanding member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers since he was acquired in a trade with the Ottawa Renegades in 2001. Bell's game against his former squad Friday was his 25th as a member of the Blue & Gold.
TOM CANADA â NASTY IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL
Defensive end Tom Canada had a nasty game in the nation's capital Friday night against the Renegades, recording two quarterback sacks, two tackles for a loss of 11 yards and a defensive tackle. The sacks were the first of Canada's CFL career. Canada â whose sack of Kerry Joseph knocked the star QB out of the game â has recorded a tackle for a loss in three of his four first league games.
CHRIS CVETKOVIC â 25TH CFL GAME
Fullback/long snapper Chris Cvetkovic has been a welcomed addition to the Blue Bombers roster since he joined the club in November 2003. Friday's game against the Renegades was Cvetkovic's 25th CFL regular-season contest.
KEVIN GLENN â BIG GAME IN RELIEF
Quarterback Kevin Glenn played a big game in relief of teammate Khari Jones Friday night. Glenn came in to the contest late in the 3rd Quarter and proceeded to complete 10-of-12 passes for 111 yards, one touchdown and a passer efficiency rating of 137.8. Glenn also ran for a one-yard score in the 4th Quarter.
MAURICE KELLY â 3RD PLACE WBB CAREER TACKLES FOR A LOSS
Linebacker Maurice Kelly holds Top-10 marks in many Blue Bomber record categories. Kelly brought down Demetris Bendross for a four-yard loss on the game's third play to record the 17th tackle for a loss in his Blue Bombers career. That tied him with Brian Clark for 3rd place in the football club charts for career tackles for a loss.
MAURICE KELLY â 6TH PLACE WBB TACKLES FOR A LOSS YARDAGE
Kelly also moved into 6th spot for tackles for a loss yardage with 44, surpassing the total of 43 set by Greg Clark.
MAURICE KELLY â 11TH PLACE WBB CAREER SPECIAL TEAMS TACKLES
Linebacker Maurice Kelly gets the job done on defence and on special teams. With a special teams tackles Friday, Kelly took over sole possession of 11th place in Blue Bombers record books in that category with 40.
ELFRID PAYTON â 150TH CFL QUARTERBACK SACK
Defensive end Elfrid Payton is one of the best players ever at sacking quarterbacks. His drop of Darnell Kennedy late in the 4th Quarter Friday was the 150th quarterback sack of his glorious career. He is now only seven sacks away from tying former Hamilton Tiger-Cat Grover Covington for the CFL record of 157.
TERRY RAY â DANGEROUS AT SAFETY
Terry Ray switched from his customary position of linebacker to safety for the game against the âGades and had one of the best games of his career. Ray had two fumble recoveries for 17 yards, one defensive tackle and one pass knockdown in the game but it was his hard hits that made everyone take notice. In the 1st Quarter, Ray lined up star receiver Pat Woodcock for one of the most solid kill shots seen in years. Then in the 2nd Quarter, Ray smoked Demetris Bendross on a play in the end zone to prevent a touchdown.
JON RYAN â 4TH-LONGEST PUNT â WBB HISTORY
Winnipeg punter Jon Ryan has only played four CFL games but he has already made his mark in the Winnipeg Football Club record books. Ryan hoofed a 92-yard punt single against Ottawa Friday to record the 4th-longest punt in the history of Blue Bombers Football. It is also the longest punt in club history against a club not named the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Here's the Top-5:

MILT STEGALL â WBB RECORD FOR RECEPTIONS (TIE)
Slotback Milt Stegall tied Canadian Football Hall of Fame member James Murphy for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers record for career receptions with 573.
MILT STEGALL â 8TH PLACE CFL CAREER RECEIVING YARDS
Slotback Milt Stegall continues to amaze people with his performance. With 65 receiving yards Friday, Stegall moved into 8th place in the CFL record books for career receiving yards with 10,342. That surpassed the total of 10,320 set by Canadian Football Hall of Fame member Tommy Joe Coffey.
MILT STEGALL â 16TH PLACE CFL CAREER RECEPTIONS (TIE)
Stegall not only tied James Murphy but he also equaled the career reception total set by Earl Winfield of 573. That puts Stegall in a three-way tie for 16th spot in the CFL record books.
KEITH STOKES â PUNT RETURN STAR
Runningback and kick returner extraordinaire Keith Stokes took a 4th Quarter Pat Fleming punt and raced 81 yards for a touchdown to break the game wide open for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The punt return score was Stokes' first as a Bomber, the fifth punt return TD of his career and the 12th touchdown overall of his career. Stokes totaled 143 punt return yards on the day to give the Big Blue excellent field position throughout the contest.
KEITH STOKES â 3RD-LONGEST PUNT RETURN â WBB HISTORY
The 81-yard score by Stokes was the 3rd-longest punt return in club history.
