Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB â Slotback Milt Stegall owns 20 Winnipeg Football Club records, however, the one mark he doesn't yet possess is that of career receptions.
With three grabs against the Ottawa Renegades Friday, Stegall equaled the club's reception record of 573 set by Canadian Football Hall of Fame member James Murphy. It also tied him with Murphy and Earl Winfield for 16th place in CFL career receptions.
Stegall needs just one catch to set a new club record. Fans can see history in the making by watching Stegall and his teammates do battle with the British Columbia Lions this Thursday, July 22, 2004. Kickoff at Canad Inns Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
