Ottawa Renegades News Release

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Renegades leave Tuesday for Toronto and Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Argonauts. Among the changes to the Renegades line-up will be the absence of quarterback Kerry Joseph, who will miss the game due to a foot injury suffered in last week's loss to Winnipeg.

The starting quarterback, still day-to-day as he rehabilitates, will be replaced this week by Darnell Kennedy, who filled in for relief at the end of the second quarter and the remainder of the second half last week against the Blue Bombers. Brad Banks has been elevated from third-string to back-up and Tyler Paopao, a training camp cut and member of the practice roster at the start of the week, is now the No. 3 man.

Also missing Wednesday's game is receiver Sherrod Gideon (mild strain to left quad). Rookie receiver David Azzi replaced Gideon.

On the other side of the ball, returning are two veteran defensive players for the Renegades. Dave Donaldson returns after missing last week's game due to a rib injury. Keaton Cromartie, who was also out, comes back. The duo replace Greg Bearman and Kai Ellis.

The 3-2 Renegades face the 3-2 Argonauts at Toronto's SkyDome Wednesday with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
