Blue Bombers Sign All-Star Kicker Sandro DeAngelis

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed non-import kicker and three-time CFL All-Star Sandro DeAngelis to their practice roster.

DeAngelis (5-8, 195, Nebraska, DOB: May 1, 1981 in Niagara Falls, Ontario) is the league's most accurate field goal kicker (minimum 250 attempts) with a lifetime efficiency rating of 82.1%. The five-time West Division All-Star began his career with the Calgary Stampeders in 2005 and was named the Most Outstanding Canadian of the 2008 Grey Cup, on top of being recognized as the West Division's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player that season. He has also spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes and most recently the Saskatchewan Roughriders where he connected on 30 of 39 field goals last season.
