Alouettes Sign Montrealer Ismael Bamba

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that the club has added non-import receiver Ismael Bamba the roster.

Bamba, (6'1'', 195 lbs.), who was drafted in the sixth-round (39th overall) by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft, made one catch for 17 yards with the Riders last season. He started his collegiate football career at the University of North Dakota, before transferring to the University of Sherbrooke. With the Vert et Or, he had 50 receptions in his final year, good for 543 yards and four touchdowns. The 25-year-old also contributed on special teams, returning 12 kicks for 310 yards and one touchdown, and returning 18 punts for 208 yards for one touchdown. The Montrealer also played his junior football with St. Leonard Cougars.
