COLUMBIA, S.C.- The Columbia Blowfish walked off in thrilling fashion 5-4 against the Asheboro Copperheads Saturday night in Coastal Plain League Play. The win brings the Blowfish into a first place tie with the Forest City Owls after the Owls loss to Thomasville Saturday night.

Graham Saiko drew a two-out walk in the bottom of ninth against John Tuttle to give the Blowfish a base runner. Gabe Loweree stepped to the plate and with Saiko runningon a 2-1 pitch Loweree hit a ground ball to third that jumped over the glove of Copperhead third baseman Noah Holmes. Saiko never stopped and the throw home was late securing the victory for the Blowfish.

Connor Sullivan got the win for the Blowfish as Loweree led the Blowfish offensive attack going 3-4 with two RBIs and a walk.

The Blowfish will return to action tomorrow night at Historic Capital City Stadium against the Gastonia Grizzlies. Tickets for Bark in the Park are available at www.blowfishbaseball.com.
