Green Bay Blizzard News Release
As the Green Bay Blizzard coaching staff prepares to hit the road to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers, the Front Office is preparing for the 2nd Annual Blizzard Women's Camp, presented by St. Mary's Hospital's A Woman's Place & YOU Magazine. The event, which was a smashing success last year, will take place next Tuesday, May 9th from 6:00-7:30pm at the Resch Center.
The Women's Camp is an in-depth introduction into Arena Football for women presented by Blizzard players and coaching staff, and is limited to the first 100 participants to register. As of Wednesday, May 3, more than 60 participants had already registered, so if any women age 18+ are interested in taking part in this event, they should contact the Blizzard office soon to reserve their spot.
All participants will receive a Women's Camp t-shirt, a ticket to the Blizzard vs. Macon Knights game (on Saturday, May 13th), and a goody bag compliments of St. Mary's Hospital's A Woman's Place & YOU Magazine.
There is no cost to participate in the Women's Camp, and the t-shirt, goody bag and ticket to the game are provided courtesy of St. Mary's Hospital's A Woman's Place & YOU Magazine, sponsors of the game vs. the Knights.
At the Camp, women will go through exactly what the players go through in a typical practice. They will go through warm-up exercises and stretches, and then will be broken up into groups and take part in drills. Drills will include: calling plays and throwing passes, running routes and catching passes, returning kick off the nets, and learning how to block and play in the OL/DL trenches.
Where: Resch Center
When: Tuesday, May 9th from 6:00-7:30pm
To Register: Contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264
The Blizzard is on the road this week to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers on Friday, May 5th, and returns to the Resch Center for "Ladies Night" on Saturday, May 13th against the Macon Knights. For more information, contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264.
