Former West Virginia Mountaineer Kicker Charlie MacInnis Joins Wolves

The Manchester Wolves arenafootball2 team announced today that they have been assigned former West Virginia Mountaineer walk-on kicker Charlie MacInnis.

MacInnis (5'9", 190) played three seasons for the Mountaineers (2000-2002), which included two bowl appearances; the Music City Bowl in 2000 and Continental Tire Bowl in 2002. MacInnis comes to Manchester with prior ties to the ball club as two of his former Mountaineer teammates were former Wolves players in FB/LB David Carter (2004 season) and K Jonathan Ohliger (2005 season).

The Londonderry, N.H. native shined as a kicker at Londonderry High School, garnering All-State selections from 1995-97, and will replace Wes Vergilio as the Wolves' starting kicker. MacInnis resides in Raymond, N.H. with his wife Michelle, and has been working at PC Connection in Merrimack, N.H. as a corporate account manager the last two years.

"MacInnis is a local guy who performed very well during his tryout," said Wolves Head Coach Ben Bennett. "We are really looking for some consistency at the kicker position, and I think he can provide it."

The Wolves will take on the defending Arena Cup champion Memphis Xplorers (4-1) at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southhaven, MS this Saturday at 8: 00p.m. Wolves' fans can listen to Dick Lutsk broadcast all the action live on WFEA 1370am!!!
