Blizzard to face Yard Dawgz

Green Bay, WI –The Green Bay Blizzard (2-3) face the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (4-1) tonight at the Resch Center. This game is the "Battle of the Linebackers" as Head Coach Brian Noble squares off against Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz Head Coach Gary Reasons, a former linebacker for the NY Giants. Defense will be hard to find in this match up as the Yard Dawgz are ranked first in the af2 in Scoring Offense (61.4) and Total Offense (291.0), while the Blizzard is ranked 15th (47.0) and 18th (245.4).

The Yard Dawgz have the af2 leading QB in Craig Strickland. A four year af2 veteran, Strickland is closing in on the all-time yardage leader for his career. Strickland is first in pass rating (126.6), second in touchdowns (30), second in yardage (1,376), and fifth in total offense (1,375). The 24th ranked Blizzard defense will have their work cut out for them tonight.

The Blizzard bring in the leagues top scorer (102), receiving yards (693), and touchdowns (17) in OS Randall Lane. QB Chris Greisen ranks ninth in pass rating (109.8) and has 22 touchdowns on the year while only playing in 3 full games.

The Blizzard is happy to announce that former Green Bay Packer LeRoy Butler will be the honorary captain for Friday's night game against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. Butler will be promoting his new book "The LeRoy Butler Story: From Wheelchair to Lambeau Leap." Fans will be able to meet Butler and purchase his book on the second floor concourse at the Resch Center. He will also be available to personally sign his book.

The Blizzard have been assigned DS Mike Mills (6-2, 225, Western Kentucky) and have placed WR/LB Tony Ebeling (6-2, 215, Northern Michigan) on re-assignment. DS Terrence Wood has been moved from Short Term IR to Long Term IR and won't be able to play for two more weeks.
