
Blizzard set to kick off second season

Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Green Bay, WI â Head Coach Brian Noble and the Green Bay Blizzard are set to kick off the 2004 season on Friday, April 9th in San Diego, California. The Blizzard face the (0-1) San Diego Riptide at 9:00 p.m. CST at the San Diego Sports Arena. The game can be heard on the internet by going to www.worldtalkradio.com or by going to the San Diego Riptide website at www.sandiegoriptide.com and clicking on the World Talk Radio icon.
The Blizzard is coming off a bye week while the San Diego Riptide dropped their opener to the Arkansas Twisters 48-38 in week 1. Coach Noble has yet to name a starting quarterback for the game as local favorite Chris Greisen battles with second year Blizzard QB, Dennis Gile. The Blizzard is looking to improve on their 2-14 inaugural season.
Friday, April 16th, is the Blizzard home opener when they face the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Pioneers at the Resch Center, game time is 7:30 p.m. It is Time Warner Magnetic Schedule and Customer appreciation Night with magnetic schedules handed out at the door.
