
Blizzard Lead League in Attendance

Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard led the league in attendance during Week 6. The Blizzard, in a convincing 41-18 win over the Iowa Barnstormers, played in front of 6,881 fans at US Cellular Field at the Resch Center. In four games this season the Blizzard has averaged 6,315 fans per game, ranking fifth in the 29-team league.
With a 3-1 record at home this season, the Blizzard give a big credit to the fans. The Blizzard "9th Man" has made it difficult for opposing teams to play in Green Bay. The team has allowed an average of 37 points per game at home and has the #1 ranked defense in the af2.
"Our fans are phenomenal. They do a great job of taking the opposing team out of the game," describes Defensive Coordinator Doug Lytle on Blizzard fans.
The Blizzard had some key performances in Week 6. On the defensive side of the ball, the Defensive Line had 6 sacks, led by Joe Sykes who is currently second in the league with 7.5 sacks.
FB/LB Tyre Young led the Blizzard ground game with a Green Bay Blizzard single game record of 70 yards on 10 carries.
The Blizzard go on the road this week to take on Midwest Division foe Peoria Pirates (2-3) and will return home next Friday, May 16th to face the Lexington Horsemen (3-2).
