Kamloops Blazers News Release

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers will host their annual Indigenous Night on Wednesday, March 30th against the Prince George Cougars.

The Blazers will be wearing speciality jerseys with a design from local artists Laura and Emma Saul who are a part of Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc.

"Depicted in the logo is a story of Coyote and Bear, moving quick as flames. Both have markings similar to that of the Blazers with Coyote's tail the flame in the Blazer 'B',' commented Laura Saul.

A special pre-game ceremony will be held prior to the game on Wednesday night.

The jerseys will be auctioned online with net proceeds going to a charity of Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc choice. The auction will begin on Monday, March 28th and conclude on Saturday, April 16th. A link to the auction, https://www.32auctions.com/kbjerseys.

We will also have t-shirts with the unique design in the Blazers Corner Store at our game on Wednesday. There will be limited quantities available and $5 from every t-shirt will be donated to the charity of choice.
