Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club joined The Brandt Group of Companies and seven local sponsors on ice to celebrate the results of their We Care Weekday initiative Saturday night. All season long, the Pats brought together game day sponsors with their choice charity to help raise needed funds. Every dollar donated by these Pats' partners was matched through Brandt's Thanks A Billion program.
"Coming out of the pandemic, it's been challenging for local organizations to fundraise. With Brandt's support, collectively our partner's raised $180,000 that will feed our neighbours, offer shelter to women and children, open doors for youth mentorship opportunities and support STARS in purchasing their next helicopter," says Pats COO, Trevor Buhnai. "What a remarkable impact we made together".
"Brandt's Thanks A Billion program was created in 2011 to show our gratitude to the communities where our over 5,100 employees and many customers live," says Brandt CEO and Pats Owner, Shaun Semple. "I'd like to extend a thank you to Enbridge, Sherwood Co-op, GFL Environmental, Richie Brothers Auctioneers, Canada Life, The Mosaic Company and the Access Communications Children Fund for stepping up and giving so generously. We're proud to match the $90,000 committed by these Pats partners to support five incredible organizations through our Thanks A Billion program."
Sponsors or local organizations interested in being part of next year's We Care Weekday games can contact the Pats Office by phone: 306-522-PATS (7287) or by email: pats@reginapats.com.
