Blazers Select Twelve Players in NLL Expansion Draft

Boston (July 24, 2008) - The Boston Blazers ( continued to build New England's new National Lacrosse League (NLL) franchise today as Blazers head coach and general manager Tom Ryan selected 12 players in the league's expansion draft. The key acquisitions for the Blazers included goaltender Mike Poulin, from the Toronto Rock, defenseman Mitch Belisle, from the New York Titans and forward Matt Lyons from the Rochester Knighthawks.

"We're extremely pleased with the talented players we selected in today's expansion draft," said Blazers head coach and GM Tom Ryan. "This was another important step in the building process for the Boston Blazers. All of the players selected today are tough, multi-talented indoor lacrosse prospects who will have the opportunity to prove themselves as members of the Blazers."
