CHIEFS DOWN BLAZERS 5-2
Drayson Bowman scored twice and added one assist as the Chiefs defeated the Blazers 5-2 on Friday night in Spokane. The Chiefs held a 2-1 lead after one and a 3-2 advantage after two before scoring twice in the third to put it away. CJ Stretch and Dalibor Bortnak scored for the Blazers as they were outshot 44-25 on the night. Dustin Tokarski picked up the win while Justin Leclerc took the loss. The Blazers were 1-for-8 on the powerplay while the Chiefs were 1-for-3. Seth Compton, Tyler Johnson, and Jared Cowen supplied the other Spokane goals.
'TIPS DEFEAT BLAZERS 5-2
Byron Froese recorded his first WHL hat trick as the Silvertips built a 4-0 lead en route to a 5-2 win over the Blazers on Saturday night in Everett. Chris de la Lande and Jesse Burt also scored for Everett while Kenton Dulle and Giffen Nyren scored for the Blazers. Shots were 43-31 Tips with Kent Simpson getting the win and Justin Leclerc taking the loss. The Blazers were 1-for-6 on the powerplay while Everett was 2-for-9.
