
Blazers Defeat Rebels 5-3

KAMLOOPS, BC - The Rebels lost 5-3 to the Kamloops Blazers Wednesday.
The Rebels opened the scoring on a power play goal from Ivan Nikolishin. The Blazers tied it up on a goal from Ryan Rehill. It was 1-1 after one period.
In the second period, the Blazers took a 2-1 lead on another goal from Rehill. The Rebels tied it on a goal from Luke Philp, his first with the Rebels since being acquired from the Kootenay Ice. Philp then gave the Rebels a 3-2 lead late in the second period. The Blazers tied it just before the end of the second period on a goal from Quinn Benjafield.
In the third period, the Blazers took a 4-3 lead on a goal by Jake Kryski. The Blazers added an empty net goal from Collin Shirley to make it 5-3.
Trevor Martin made 35 saves in the Rebels net; Connor Ingram made 40 saves in the Blazers net.
The Rebels were 1 for 2 on the power play; the Blazers were 2 for 5 on the power play.
The Rebels are in Prince George on Friday. The broadcast on 106.7 The Drive begins at 7:50PM.
