
Blast Defeat Ambush 9-4

Baltimore Blast News Release
The Blast traveled to St. Louis on Friday night to take on the Ambush. In the second matchup of the season the Blast were again victorious 9-4.
The Blast got the scoring started with the first two goals of the game. Onua Obasi found the back of the net only 1:04 into the game for his 8th goal of the season assisted by Adriano Dos Santos. Seconds later Uzi Tayou recorded his second goal of the season off an assist from Jonatas Melo. Before the end of the quarter the Ambush would get on the board with a goal from Freddy Moojen and at the end of the first the Blast led 2-1.
The Blast would extend their lead with 2 goals in the second quarter. At the 3:07 mark Adriano Dos Santos recorded his 9th goal of season followed by Lucas Roque scoring his 16th of the year. Blast goalkeeper William Vanzela recorded 7 saves in the first half and the Blast went into the locker room with a 4-1 lead.
Both teams came out aggressive in the second half. The Ambush would score back to back goals from Luiz Mota and Anthony Arico to cut the Blast lead to one. Lucas Roque would answer for the Blast with a goal at the 10:34 mark assisted by Jinho Kim. Roque would then complete the hat trick with a power play goal assisted by Tony Donatelli. Heading into the final quarter the Blast led 6-3.
Lucas Roque would score his fourth goal of the game one minute into the final quarter. The Blast would then score 2 more goals to extend the lead. Onua Obasi would score his second goal of the game assisted by Tony Doantelli followed by Donatelli recording his 3rd assist of the game on Uzi Tayou's second goal. After a late goal from the Ambush the final score was Blast 9 Ambush 4.
The Blast improve to 15-3 on the season. The Blast were led offensively by Lucas Roque who recorded 4 goals on the night. Tony Donatelli recorded 3 assists in the victory. Defensively Pat Healey recorded 3 blocks in front of goalkeeper, William Vanzela, recorded 15 saves.
The Blast will be back in action tomorrow night as they take on the Missouri Comets. The third and final matchup of the regular season between the two teams is Saturday, February 27th, at 8:35p.m. EST from the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
