
Blades Tame Cougars 5-2 Scoring Five Unanswered

NO SECOND DATE: The Saskatoon Blades four-goal third period lifted them past the Prince George Cougars 5-2 Tuesday at CN Centre. It was 1-1 heading into the final period as Saskatoon went on to score those four tallies in a 5:56 span. It's the club's seventh win in their last nine, and are now 2-1 on the BC road trip totalling to 35-13-3-1 on the year.
ESCORE SIDOROV: Belarusian forward Egor Sidorov extended his point streak to ten games with a three-point performance. The NHL draft-eligible winger has 13 on his current heater, and extended his team lead in goals to 31 tonight on the powerplay. In 41 games, Sidorov has 58 points and also leads with 14 tucks on the man-advantage.
SHUG IT OFF: Defenceman Spencer Shugrue got the monkey off his back with goal one on the year. It's the 19-year-old's first in 74 games giving him two points in 40 games this year. The Vancouver, BC. native is the most versatile player on the team, switching between center and defence constantly and always making the right decision.
NEXT GAME: Saskatoon hits the ferry for a trip to the island taking on the Victoria Royals Friday night.
