WELCOME BACK: The Saskatoon Blades returned to their winning ways beating the Swift Current Broncos 3-2 Wednesday at InnovationPlex. Rookie goalie Austin Elliott stopped 29 of 31 shots helping the Blades to their eighth consecutive road win. Saskatoon now reps 95 points and a 45-14-4-1 record, just five points shy of their fifth 100-point season. The club still has four games remaining.

CERTIFIED PLAYMAKER: Alternate captain Trevor Wong recorded three points on the evening, two of which were helpers. The second came on the defenceman Tanner Molendyk's 3-1 tally in the second period, giving Wong his 100th career WHL assist in less than 200 games. The Vancouver, BC. product leads the team with 81 points in 64 games this year.

CLOSER TO HISTORY: With the Blades second goal of the game, captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere trails Wendel Clark by only three points for the tenth most by a defenceman in Blades history. The pending WHL graduate is a point-per-game this season with 62 points in as many games.

NEXT GAME: The Blades return home to SaskTel Centre for a weekend double-header.

First is the Blue and Gold's "Your Team Your Jersey" night brought to you by Real Canadian Superstore on Saturday. Ryker Marushak's designed jersey will come to life on the ice when the boys take on the Brandon Wheat Kings for the final time in the regular season.

The following afternoon SaskTel Centre sees a record-breaking crowd as Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats enter for a potential first round preview. With about 15,000 fans expected in attendance, don't miss the electric atmosphere! About 400 tickets still remain!
