Blades Rally in Third to Down Wheat Kings

Saskatoon, SK. - The Brandon Wheat Kings wrapped up an unsuccessful Saskatchewan road trip Saturday night by dropping a 4-2 decision to the hometown Blades in Saskatoon.

The Blades erupted for four third period goals to score a come from behind 4-2 victory and improve to 11-7-1-1 on the season.

The Wheat Kings, who dropped a 6-3 decision in Prince Albert on Friday, are now 8-12-0-0 on the season and will be hoping to get back on track when they host the Winnipeg ICE Monday afternoon at Westoba Place.

Majid Kaddoura, Cyle McNabb, Nolan Kneen and Kyle Crnkovic, with an empty netter, scored for the Blades while Jonny Hooker and Ty Thorpe replied for the Wheat Kings, who led 2-0 through forty minutes of play.

Jiri Patera, making his first start in over a month, turned aside 33 shots in the Brandon net while Nolan Maier made 22 saves for the Blades.
