FIRST TO 30: Saskatoon Blades' forward Vaughn Watterodt set the tone early in the team's 4-3 victory at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday against the Calgary Hitmen.

The 5-foot-11 winger scored 12 seconds into the game which sparked a three-goal first period for the Blue and Gold. Watterodt has points in back-to-back games and owns 15 points (6G, 9A) in 38 games this season.

Toronto Maple Leafs' property Fraser Minten and Brandon Lisowsky each extended their respective streak. Minten scored his eighth goal of the season, moving his point streak to seven games (4G, 7A). Lisowsky scored in his fifth straight contest (5G, 1A), putting him four points shy of 200 in his career (104G, 92A). In 43 games, Lisowsky has 25 goals and 51 points.

Rookie netminder Evan Gardner picked up another win on the season, improving to 11-5-0-1. The 17-year-old from Lake Country, BC was ranked 16th amongst North American goalies in NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings list earlier this month.

The Blades are the first team in the WHL to reach 30 wins and remain first in the WHL with 64 points.

NEXT GAME: The Blades conclude their three-game Alberta roadtrip on Sunday against the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Puck drop is 5:00pm CT.
