
Blades Fall to Hitmen

The Saskatoon Blades dropped their 2nd consecutive game on Saturday night as they fell 2-1 to the Calgary Hitmen in their 2nd of 3 games in 3 nights this weekend.
Curtis Hamilton scored his 2nd goal of the season for the Blades with Justin McCrae and Walker Wintoneak picking up the assists. Ian Duval and Ryan White scored for the Hitmen. All three goals came in the third period of the game.
Braden Holtby made 31 saves on 33 Calgary shots while Dan Spence picked up the win for the Hitmen with 25 saves on 26 Blades shots.
Saskatoon had just 1 power play in the game and failed to score on their only man advantage. The Hitmen had 6 power plays and were 0 for 6.
Saskatoon will complete their 3 games in 3 nights weekend tomorrow night in Swift Current. The team's next home action is set for November 23rd when they welcome the Prince Albert Raiders to Credit Union Centre for the first of eight games between the two rivals this year.
