DOESN'T GET ANY CLOSER: The Saskatoon Blades fell 3-2 in overtime of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final to the Moose Jaw Warriors at SaskTel Centre on Tuesday.

The Blades battled back from a 1-0 deficit and 2-1 deficit to force a WHL record sixth overtime in the series, but fell 36 seconds into the extra frame.

A historic season comes to the end for Saskatoon. The 2023-24 Blades captured the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for top regular season in the WHL, and got the furthest in the postseason in franchise history since 1994.
