Blades Add Rookie Defenseman Stephens

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that defenseman Evan Stephens has signed with the club.

Stephens becomes the latest to join the Everblades roster, and signs with the team after wrapping up a four-year collegiate career at Dartmouth College. This season the 23-year-old led all Big Green defenseman in scoring with 20 points (3g, 17a) and led the team with 49 penalty minutes in 34 games.

A native of Bressemer, Michigan, Stephens tallied 81 points (19g, 62a) in 128 games with Dartmouth from 2007-11. His best season came during his freshman campaign in 2007-08 when he recorded 22 points (5g, 17a) while playing in all 32 games, earning him a spot on the All-ECAC Rookie team.
