After several weeks away, Puska on Pucks, The Original Internet Hockey Show is back with a story of courage and perseverance.
Host Denis J. Puska visits with former professional hockey player Jason Baird who is continuing his recovery from an accident he suffered several years ago. Baird will talk about his recovery process and his hope to one day return to hockey as a coach.
Victoria Times-Colonist sportswriter Cleve Dheensaw is also on Puska on Pucks to discuss the future of professional hockey in Victoria British Columbia. The Victoria Salmon Kings are one of several teams who could be looking for new homes next season, and Dheensaw will talk about where the franchise could be headed and who may be coming in its place.
Puska on Pucks will also rebroadcast a portion of an interview with former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Drew Pearson who will talk about growing up with the game of hockey when he lived in New Jersey.
There is also an update on the playoff races in various professional hockey leagues from the Central Hockey League, ECHL, SPHL and even the American Hockey League. A fresh installment of Ice Chips News and Notes looks at a proposed new arena for Allentown PA, and the city of Glendale considering minor pro hockey if the Phoenix Coyotes bolt to Kansas City or Canada.
