March 28, 2011 - SPHL (SPHL)
Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
The fourth-seeded Columbus Cottonmouths will face the third-seeded Huntsville Havoc in a best-of-three series in the first round of the SPHL playoffs, set to begin this week.
The series will begin in Huntsville Thursday, March 31 at 8:30 ET. The Snakes will host game 2 at the Snake Pit Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m. Due to the Spring Fling Fair, parking will be limited so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and arrive early. A decisive game 3, if necessary, will be back in Huntsville Sunday, April 3 at 6 pm ET. Due to scheduling conflicts with the Von Braun Center, both games in Huntsville will be played at the Wilcoxson Municipal Ice Complex. Seating is extremely limited and no tickets will be made available to Columbus fans. Tickets for the Snakes' home game on Saturday can be purchased by calling the Snakes office, visiting the Civic Center box office or ticketmaster.com.
The winner of this series will advance to face the winner of the Augusta/Pensacola series in a second, best-of-three series.
Season ticket holders who purchased playoff packages are reminded to bring tickets marked for Game 1 to the game on Saturday.
The Snakes will host a dinner/meet and greet at River City Grill on Airport Thruway next to Stevi B's Pizza on Tuesday, March 29 from 6-7:30. Fans are encouraged to stop by, eat dinner with their favorite Snake players and wish them well as they prepare for the playoffs.
