McCollum to the Red Wings

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that goaltender Thomas McCollum has been recalled to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League.

The former first round pick of Detroit in 2008 has started 14 consecutive games for Toledo and has appeared in 18 straight since being assigned to the Walleye on February 23rd. Thomas is 11-9-2 this year with Toledo, holding a 2.76 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. McCollum has two shutouts in the last four games for the Walleye, three this season in Toledo. The Detroit Red Wings host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight and the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.
