Blackhawks Reassign Hinostroza to Rockford

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have reassigned forward Vince Hinostroza to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hinostroza, a native of Bartlett, Ill., has tallied two penalty minutes over four games with the Blackhawks this season, including his National Hockey League debut on Oct. 17 vs. CBJ. The 21-year old has also recorded one assist in two games with Rockford this year. Hinostroza registered 76 points (19G, 57A) and a +11 plus/minus rating in 76 games with the University of Notre Dame across two seasons (2013-15). He was drafted by Chicago in the sixth round (169th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

Hinostroza appeared in six games with Rockford last season, tallying two assists.

Next Home Game: Tuesday, Oct. 27 vs. Charlotte Checkers at 7 p.m. The IceHogs welcome the Checkers to the BMO Harris Bank Center on another "Winning Weekday." Every time the IceHogs win at home on a weekday, each fan in attendance will receive a free ticket to the next weekday game. Fans can also enjoy $2 beers, hot dogs, and companion tickets.
