Bellevue, WA. The ABA Bellevue Blackhawks professional basketball team has re-signed its four key players from last season's Western Conference Championship team. The players are:

Tim Ellis, a 6'3" shooting guard from Kansas State and Seattle's Ranier Beach High School, averaged 36 points per game and earned team MVP honors last season.

Jimmie Haywood, a 6'1" point guard from Oregon State and Seattle's Franklin High School. He was the team captain and the only player to start every game.

Jim Rainwater, a 6'4" swingman from Seattle's Chief Stealth High School, who was added to the team last season for the Blackhawks' playoff run.

Matt Glynn, a 6'3" point guard from the University of Puget Sound who played every game last season and was a team leader on and off the court.

Bellevue coach Rick Turner, the 2004-2005 ABA Coach of the Year, was pleased to have the players back. "These guys were the nucleus of our championship team. It was a high priority to re-sign them and we're glad to have them back to make a run for the ABA title this season."

Bellevue opens its 2005-2006 training camp on Saturday, October 29th at the Samuel Stroum Jewish Community Center on Mercer Island (3801 East Mercer Way) from 10am-2pm.
