
DareDevils trim roster following intersquad game

St.Catharines, Ontario - October 24, 2005 Following a 129-122 victory by the White Team over the Blue Team in Saturday's Interquad Game the Niagara DareDevils announced their roster had been trimmed to 16 players. Jamil Terrell, Cordel Jeanty, Kurt Salesman, Sheik Pearson, DeShawn Bowman, Terry Sellers, Adrian Walton, and Jamal Ward have all been released by the DareDevils. The DareDevils also annouced that 6'7" forward Shane Nicely and 6'3" Guard Hodari Mallori had been moved to the IR.
Saturday's intersquad game proved to be an uptempo, highflying affair with 6'6" forward LeRoy Hickerson carrying the White Team team to victory with a 36 point, 8 rebound effort. The Blue Team, which rallied back from a 20 point deficit, were led in scoring by 6'6" G Steve Horne with 31 points. 6'8" F Joe Buck led the team in rebounding with 13, while G LeBastian Abney led the team with 13 assists.
The team's training camp will move to one session per day starting Monday from 9am until 11am. On Tuesday, the camp will shift from 2pm until 4pm. The camp is being held at Glengate Alliance Church in Niagara Falls, ON (formally St.Michaels High School). For a map to the facility click here. The training camp will be open to the media, and players/coaches will be available for interviews for 20 minutes following the end of each session.
