Sacramento Heatwave News Release

The Fresno Heatwave have signed two of the top forwards in the ABA from last season. Harold Arcenauex and Horatio Webster played in different divisions and in different regions of the USA last season within the Amercian Basketball Association, but both had outstanding seasons in 2004-05 and led their teams to dominating seasons within the ABA. Arcenauex helped lead the Utah Snowbears to a 27-1 record during the ABA Regular Season, which included a 22 game winning streak. Webster as well, helped lead the Mississippi Stingers to the best record in his teams division with a 23-4 regular season record, and to a simi-final loss in the ABA Playoffs to eventual ABA Champs, the Arkansas Rimrockers.

Harold Arcenauex (6'6-225) played collegiate basketball at Weber State University, where he averaged 22.0 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game for his collegiate career. Harold is known by the nickname, "The Show" for the way he steals the show on the court especially in pressure situations. Arcenauex is best known for his 35 point performance against the University of North Carolina his senior season at Weber State in the NCAA Tournament. Arcenauex led his Wildcats of Weber State over the Tarheels in a huge upset victory in that March Madness NCAA Tournament Game! Since becoming a professional Arcenauex has continued his career as a premiere player. He averaged 17.0 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game last season in the ABA for Utah. He has as well played professionally in Australia, Portugal, Philippines, and in Venezuela. His team in Venezuela won the top division championship and Harold was named the MVP of the League.

Horatio Webster (6'6-240) hails from the State of Mississippi. Webster had an outstanding collegiate career at Mississippi State University in the Southeastern Conference. At Mississippi State, he averaged 18.2 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game for his collegiate career. During Webster's college career at MSU, he helped State win the Southeastern Conference Championship, helped lead them to births in the NCAA Tournament, and helped the Bulldogs defeat the University of Kentucky at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY for the first time in the history of the basketball program at Mississippi State University. Webster is known for his versatility and his ability to beat you both inside and outside! He is fierce warrior, who has had a knack of winning wherever he plays! As a starter last season for the Mississippi Stingers, Webster averaged 14.5 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game in helping the Stingers win their division and post a 20 win season. This past summer Webster continued that winning trend by helping the Mississippi Hardhats of the WBA get to the Championship Game, where they lost in overtime by one point.

With the addition of Arcenauex and Webster to go along with the already signed DeRon Rutledge, who was the leading scorer and rebounder (18.5 ppg. & 7.6 rpg.) last season for another one of the top teams in the ABA (Texas Tycoons), the Heatwave have put together a dynamic frontcourt with lots of firepower! The temperature meter could be rising this upcoming ABA Season with the likes of this set of triplet forwards on the Heatwaves frontline!
