Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Black Hawks released the first installment of the team's "All In" video series through waterlooblackhawks.com and social media platforms on Tuesday.
The short episodes will bring Black Hawks fans into areas of Young Arena that they rarely see. The series provides insights on what it takes to field a successful team in the nation's only Tier 1 junior hockey league while highlighting some of the individuals committed to helping players develop themselves for opportunities at the college and professional level. The hub for "All In" segments is waterlooblackhawks.com/all-in.
"The organization felt it was important to show our fans, our community partners, and the hockey world at large how we operate," said Black Hawks President of Business Operations Joe Greene. "Whatever the final score on a given night or the record at the end of the season, the Black Hawks are committed to a professional approach that will put our players in position to succeed, both now and far into the future."
The opening episode of "All In" features Hawks trainer Todd Klein, the team's longest-serving staff member. Klein joined the organization in 1996 and has been on the bench for over 1,500 games. Off the ice, he helps Waterloo players return to full health through the medical issues which crop up over the course of an eight-month season.
Future "All In" editions will be uploaded periodically throughout the coming months. Viewers will learn about Head Coach Matt Smaby, Strength & Conditioning Coach Spenser Popinga, and more. The series is produced by AMPERAGE of Cedar Falls.
The Black Hawks' 2022/23 schedule will be revealed later this summer. Season tickets for the fall are currently available from tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com.
