Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa - On Friday night, Young Arena will be the site for the Cedar Valley's largest Black & Gold Pep Rally ahead of college football's Conference Championship Saturday.
The Black Hawks meet the Sioux Falls Stampede at 7:05. Fans are encouraged to wear black and gold in support of the Iowa Hawkeyes, who will meet the Michigan Wolverines during the Big Ten Championship Game this weekend in Indianapolis. Friday's tickets for Iowa fans have been reduced to $10 in Young Arena's attack and goal zones, when using the promo code "hawkeyes" at tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com.
Fans at the rink will hear familiar tunes evoking fall Saturdays, as well as seeing memorable Iowa football moments on the arena video board. The Black Hawks will also host a drawing for tickets to attend the Iowa-Iowa State men's basketball game in Ames on December 7th.
Plus, everyone at the rink on Friday will be a Hawkeye fan on Saturday, thanks to a special Black Hawks ticket offer. If Iowa holds their opponent to 21 points or fewer in Indianapolis, then fans attending Friday's game can come back to Young Arena on January 12th for just $2.10 when the Black Hawks host the Chicago Steel.
This weekend's beer special is $4 Bud Light tallboys through the end of the first period.
Online orders can be placed at tickets.waterlooblackhawks.com. Seats for all home games are also available from the Domino's Black Hawks Box Office by calling (319) 291-7680.
