Several Former USHL Players Pick up NCAA Weekly League Awards

November 29, 2023 - United States Hockey League (USHL) News Release


Several former United States Hockey League players picked up recognition in their respective NCAA conferences for their performances on the ice last week.

A total of 15 USHL alumni were recognized across college hockey for their superior play by NCAA Division I hockey leagues last week.

Atlantic Hockey

Gianfranco Cassaro (Youngstown/RIT/Defensive Player of the Week), David Fessenden (Sioux City/Canisius/Goaltender of the Week)

Big 10

Bryce Brodzinski (Omaha/Minnesota/First Star), Jake Barczewski (Tri-City/Michigan/Second Star)

ECAC

John Prokop (Omaha, Muskegon, Green Bay and Des Moines/Union/Defender of the Week), Ian Shane (Chicago/Cornell/Goaltender of the Week), Cam Johnson (Chicago/Harvard/Rookie of the Week)

NCHC

McKade Webster (Green Bay/Denver/ Forward of the Week), Zeev Buium (NTDP/Denver/Defenseman of the Week), Jake Livanavage (NTDP and Chicago/North Dakota/Rookie of the Week)
