Bisons Steal One From The Lynx

Buffalo came back with runs in the top of the ninth and tenth innings to steal one from the Lynx 3-2 in 10 innings.

The loss drops the Lynx to 17-19 while the Bisons improve to 24-12.

Lynx Player Of The Game: Starter Zack Segovia had his best start of the season, holding the Bisons to one run over 6.2 innings, while striking out three.

Game Recap: The Lynx opened the scoring in the home half of the third inning. Jim Rushford led off with a double, moved over to third on a groundout and scoring on a groundout by Danny Sandoval. Buffalo pulled even with a run in the top of the fifth before the Lynx re-established their lead with a run in the bottom of the inning. They capitalized on another leadoff double, this time off the bat of Gary Burnham. Burnham moved to third base on a groundout and scored on Jim Rushford's sacrifice fly. Zack Segovia came through big-time in the cold weather, holding the Bisons to the one run on five hits over 6.2 innings. He was in line for his second win of the season until the Bisons tied the game in the ninth inning off Anderson Garcia and then won in the tenth off Brian Sanches. The Lynx were knocking on the door in the bottom of the tenth, but Buffalo rightfielder Brad Snyder made a running catch off Ron Calloway to cement the win for Buffalo.

Next Game: The Lynx and Bisons renew hostilities with the third game of their four-game series Thursday afternoon. Game time is 1:05 pm at Lynx Stadium.

Probable Pitchers: Thursday vs. Buffalo, 1:05 pm, Ottawa RHP Heath Totten (0-1, 4.50) takes on Buffalo RHP Adam Miller (4-1, 2.45).
