BUFFALO, NY - In the Bisons' final game at Sahlen Field until August 16, the Herd fell to the Worcester Red Sox 4-1 in the series finale to split the six-game set on Sunday afternoon.

A trio of homers propelled the WooSox offence, beginning with Triston Casas' solo blast in the third, and Deivy Grullón's two-run shot in the fifth. Both homers were given up by Casey Lawrence, who went five innings giving up three runs off four hits while striking out six.

The Bisons had a chance to score early when L.J. Talley led off the second with a triple, but was thrown out at the plate trying to stretch it into an inside-the-park homer. Cullen Large tripled as well in the fifth, and came around to score on a wild pitch to put the Herd on the scoreboard.

Hayden Juenger followed and gave up a solo homer to Christin Stewart in the sixth, the only run he surrendered in his 2.1 innings of work, before Shaun Anderson came on with two aboard and promptly retired both batters he faced to end the eighth.

Matt Gage had a scoreless top of the ninth, but the Bisons went down in the bottom half against Frank German to end the game despite bringing the tying run to the plate.

The Bisons will enjoy an off-day tomorrow before travelling to Allentown, PA, to open up a six-game set with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders beginning on Tuesday night.
