Bisons Scheduled To Face Daisuke Matsuzaka On Thursday, April 15

Boston Red Sox RHP DAISUKE MATSUZAKA is scheduled to make a major league rehabilitation start with the Pawtucket Red Sox against the Buffalo Bisons on Thursday, April 15 at 4:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Field.

Matsuzaka, 29, has already made one rehab start with the PawSox this season. He allowed just two hits in five shutout innings in the first game of a doubleheader against the Rochester Red Wings on Saturday. He walked one, hit two batters and struck out three in earning a 1-0 victory over the Red Wings.

Matsuzaka is 37-21 with a 4.00ERA in 73 starts with the Boston Red Sox over the past three seasons. He made just 12 starts with the Red Sox a season ago, going 4-6 with a 5.76ERA in 59.1 innings of work.

Matszuka is scheduled to face Bisons LHP PAT MISCH, who threw six shutout innings on Saturday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Bisons three-game series with Pawtucket begins with the 2010 HOME OPENER, Wednesday, April 14 at 3:05 p.m.
