Buffalo, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs fell to the Buffalo Bisons, 4-2, Saturday night at Coca-Cola Field after the Herd tallied two runs in the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Adrian Sanchez homered in the loss.

Syracuse (36-51) started the scoring in the third inning. Andrew Stevenson doubled with two outs against Tom Pannone, and Sanchez followed by belting his fourth home run of the season over the fence in left to give the Chiefs a 2-0 edge.

Buffalo (40-41) answered with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Darnell Sweeney singled to lead off against John Simms. He moved to second on a groundout and scored on a two-out RBI single by Richard Urena to cut the deficit in half.

The game held at 2-2 until the eighth inning. Alford singled to start the inning, and Jason Leblebijian followed with a double that snuck inside the bag at third, and Alford scored from first to give the Herd a 3-2 lead. After a groundout, Sweeney singled up the middle to score Leblebijian and add a fourth run to the Bisons' Saturday-night total.

Syracuse wraps up its pre-All-Star break portion of the scheduled Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. LHP Tommy Milone is scheduled to start for the Chiefs opposite RHP Chris Rowley for the Bisons.
