
Bisons Place RHP Elmer Dessens On Disabled List

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP ELMER DESSENS has been placed on the team's disabled list with a left hamstring strain.
Dessens, 39, left in the ninth inning of the Bisons' game on Tuesday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after delivering a called strike three to Yankees' hitter Chad Huffman. On the season, Dessens is 3-0 with a 1.29ERA and two saves in five appearances for Buffalo (7.0IP, 7H, R, ER, 3BB, 6K).
Dessens saved a team-high 11 games for Buffalo in 2009 before pitching in 28 games with the New York Mets.
