Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are pleased to announce that Sean McDonough will return to the Chiefs airwaves for Friday night's 6:00pm game against the Rochester Red Wings. McDonough will join the current voice of the Chiefs, Jason Benetti, and assistant Mike Couzens for the broadcast on SportsRadio 620 WHEN.

"It's an absolute honor to share a booth with Sean McDonough," Benetti said. "Sean is a true professional who has taken the time to help me grow tremendously over the years."

McDonough is the first in a yet-to-be-released line of broadcasters who will return this year to celebrate the 50th season of community ownership for the Syracuse franchise. McDonough, now an ESPN play-by-play announcer, called Chiefs games from 1982 through 1984 on then-flagships WAER and WFBL.

"The Chiefs have had some very successful radio announcers over the years," said Chiefs General Manager John Simone. "It's great to welcome Sean McDonough back to Syracuse to celebrate our 50th season of community ownership with us."

The Chiefs are currently in the midst of a six-game homestand. Tickets for all home games can be purchased in person at the Chiefs ticket office at Alliance Bank Stadium, by calling 315-474-7833, or online at SyarcuseChiefs.com.
