TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the finale of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd has lost two straight and need a victory today to earn a split against Indy. The Bisons are now 4-3 on their modern-era record 16-game homestand. After tomorrow's off-day, Buffalo will welcome Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to town.

vs. INDIANS: The Bisons are now 1-2 against the Indians this season. Because of last night's loss, the Herd can only earn a split of the set with a win today. Buffalo has not won a four-game series against Indianapolis since the 2004 season. Since then, the Indians have nine series wins of 3-1 and five splits against the Bisons.

SCHWING & MISS: RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN brings the 6th-lowest ERA (2.54) in the International League into today's game. The righty was promoted on Sunday to New York, but because he didn't pitch, he can start on his normal day with the Bisons. Schwinden allowed just two runs in six innings of work last Thursday in a win over Gwinnett. He has allowed two runs or less in each of his last five starts since April 17 (30.0IP, 8ER, 2.40ERA).

ON A WIM: OF COREY WIMBERLY has a hit in seven of his first eight games as a Bison and two hits in six of those contests. After missing the first 37 games of the season on the DL, Wimberly has averaged .382 (13-34) with three stolen bases in his first few games with the team. When he leads off an inning, Wimberly is hitting .583 (7-13) with a .600 on-base percentage.

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN has been all over the bases with six hits, six walks and no strikeouts in his last four games. Over the stretch, he has averaged .545 (6-11) with a .706 on-base percentage. The four games have raised his season average 24 points to .279 and his on-base percentage from .305 to .348.

BISONS BITS: RHP ELVIN RAMIREZ has allowed just three hits in seven scoreless appearances to begin his Triple-A career (9.0IP, 10K)...RHP JEFF STEVENS was placed on the disabled list yesterday with a groin strain. INF MICHAEL FISHER was promoted from Binghamton (AA)...The Bisons lead the International League with a .276 team average and 47 home runs.

METS UPDATE : The Mets' (22-20) lost 5-4 in Pittsburgh last night. Prior to the game, New York recalled OF VINNY ROTTINO from the Bisons. He started for the Mets and went 1-3 with a run scored. INF DAVID WRIGHT had two more hits to raise his average to .415. The Mets and Pirates play again today at 7:05 p.m.
