TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the final two games of a three-game series at Alliance Bank Stadium (Game 1: 12:00 p.m.). The clubs will play two, seven-inning games today after yesterday's rain out. After the games, the Bisons will continue their roadtrip with a three-game series in Lehigh Valley, April 23-25.
vs. CHIEFS: The Bisons earned the 6-4 victory on Friday in the first matchup with the Chiefs this season. The win gives the Herd a 3-2 record in the 2012 Thruway Series, a half-
game behind Rochester (4-2) for first place. Buffalo and Syracuse have played 225 times since the Bisons returned to the International League in 1998. Buffalo has the 113-112 edge.
LET'S PLAY TWO: The Bisons are playing their first doubleheader of the season today. Last season, Buffalo was 6-8 in twinbills with a pair of sweeps. However, one of the three times they were swept in 2011 came in Syracuse. The Chiefs picked up wins of 7-6 and 5-9 on July 20 at Alliance Bank Stadium.

RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN is hoping to build off his best outing of 2012. He allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings in a win against Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.
STARTING STRONG: After only one quality start in the club's first 12 games, the Bisons rotation has posted four straight quality starts. Since Tuesday, Herd starters are 3-0 with a 2.08ERA. The group has allowed just 19 hits with 19 strikeouts in 26.0 innings of work. On the season, Buffalo's rotation has posted a 3.94ERA in 16 games.
