Tonight's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the finale of a two-game series at PNC Field (7:05 p.m.). The clubs have played four games over the last three days with each squad winning a pair. The Bisons are 13-6 in their last 19 contests.

vs. the RailRiders

Buffalo are 4-6 against the RailRiders this season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre winning the last two matchups. The teams won't play again until a two-game series in Buffalo, August 21-22. They will then close out the season series with three games in two days at PNC Field, August 27-28.

Aaron Sanchez

RHP AARON SANCHEZ makes his fifth start with the Bisons tonight. The Triple-A rookie matched a career-high with seven innings of work last Monday in a no-decision in Syracuse. The righty allowed three runs on seven hits, but needed just 83 pitches to complete the seven frames. Sanchez is rated the Blue Jays' #1 prospect by Baseball America.

Cory Aldridge

OF CORY ALDRIDGE made a splash on Friday, homering in his Bisons' debut. He finished the game with two hits and two RBI. The outfielder was signed by Toronto on June 24 after a stellar start in the Mexican League. In 67 games for Monterrey, Aldridge hit .345 with 11 doubles, 19 home runs and 67 RBI.

Erik Kratz

C ERIK KRATZ has hit .400 (12-30) since rejoining the Bisons from Toronto on June 25. In the nine-game stretch, the veteran has three doubles, a home run, eight RBI, six walks and four runs scored. Kratz has hit in each of his last four games with a .500 (8-16) average.

Anthony Gose

The Blue Jays optioned OF ANTHONY GOSE to the Bisons on Saturday. The outfielder has played 31 games in Buffalo this year with a .225 (27-120) average, two home runs, 11 RBI and nine stolen bases. Gose has hit .229 (25-109) with five RBI and five steals in 44 games with Toronto.

Bisons Bits

INF RYAN GOINS has gone 36 games without an error up the middle of the Bisons defense. The Herd's .983 fielding pct. is tied for 1st in the IL...OF KEVIN PILLAR has 20 multi-hit games this year and is 7th in the IL with a .313 batting average.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (47-41) lost 1-0 in 12 innings in Oakland last night on Nick Punto's double. Former Bisons RHP Marcus Stroman tossed seven innings of three-run baseball but doesn't earn a decision. He struck out seven. The Athletics host the Blue Jays again tonight at 10:05 p.m.
