Tonight, the Bisons face the Rochester Red Wings in the third game of a five-game in four-day series at Frontier Field (7:05 p.m.). The Wings struck first with a doubleheader sweep on Sunday, scoring a pair of 6-1 wins. The Bisons close out the season's first half with four games at home against Durham, July 10-13.

vs. the Red Wings

Even with Sunday's twinbill loss, the Bisons are 6-3 against the Red Wings this year. However, Buffalo (38) has scored just one more run than Rochester (37) in the nine games head-to-head. The Herd is 69-61 (.531) all time at Frontier Field.

P.J. Walters

On June 2 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Walters struck out nine over seven shutout innings in a no-decision. A former Red Wing, Walters was 7-5 with a 4.18 ERA in 19 starts for Rochester a season ago.

Walking towards History

Along with leading the International League in home runs, IL All-Star INF DAN JOHNSON has also drawn 28 more walks than any other IL batter. His 78 free passes are already the second-most in a single season for a Bisons player in the modern era. He trails only Valentino Pascucci's 87 walks in 2012 for the most in a given season by a Bison.

A.J. Jimenez

C A.J. JIMENEZ cranked his first career Triple-A home run in last night's game one. Since joining the Herd in late May, the backstop has hit safely in 27 of his 35 starts. Overall, Jimenez has averaged .277 (38-137) with nine doubles, a triple and 14 RBI. He has also thrown out 11 of 25 would-be base stealers (.440 pct.).
